The story starts with the imagination of a little girl. We see a home video of a young girl throwing a paper butterfly in the air. The butterfly turns into an animation when we enter the child's fantasy world. We hear the voices of children in the background and see strange creatures and shapes filling the screen. We travel through the child's imagination. Suddenly the colorful, magical world disappears and we end up in a black and white world. The girl is an adult, and loses her childlike fantasy that flies past her like a yellow butterfly. She does not want to lose this and catches the butterfly so that she can form a whole again with her childlike imagination. The crazy figures grow along and transform into imaginative creatures that represent a mixture of the childish fantasy and the adult girl.
